Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Lancashire as a Children’s Social Worker, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families. In this rewarding position, you will work collaboratively with families and partner agencies to assess needs, develop care plans, and implement interventions that promote positive outcomes for children. Your expertise will directly contribute to safeguarding vulnerable children and supporting their families in overcoming challenges.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and support needs. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and relevant stakeholders. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, facilitating access to resources and services. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in children’s social work, particularly in safeguarding and family support. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and professionals. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
