Children's AP - CIN / CP Team - Barnsley
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Assessment and Protection (AP) - Child in Need (CIN) / Child Protection (CP) Team in Barnsley. In this role, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding vulnerable children and supporting families in need. You will work collaboratively with various agencies, ensuring the welfare of children remains paramount while promoting their rights and needs.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans to support children and families.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports.
- Working closely with other professionals, including health, education, and law enforcement, to ensure a multi-agency approach.
- Participating in child protection conferences and court proceedings as required.
To be considered for this position, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should possess:
- Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
