Join our dedicated team in Barnsley as a Children’s Social Worker (SSW) within the CIN/CP/Court Team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders to ensure the safety and well-being of children in our community. Your expertise will contribute to effective assessments, interventions, and support plans that safeguard vulnerable children and promote their development.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing child protection plans in line with statutory requirements. Working closely with families, schools, and other agencies to provide support and resources. Preparing and presenting reports for court proceedings as necessary. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience in child protection, safeguarding, and court work. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
