Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of kinship care placements to ensure they meet the needs of children and families.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families, children, and other stakeholders.
- Providing ongoing support and guidance to kinship carers, including training and resources to enhance their caregiving capabilities.
- Monitoring and reviewing placements to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practices.
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to coordinate services and support for families.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Experience in child protection, family support, or kinship care.
- Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
