We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Advanced Practitioner (AP) to join our Child in Care (CIC) Team in Coventry. This role is essential for ensuring the well-being and development of children in care, providing high-quality support and intervention to children and their families. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with social workers, families, and other professionals to promote positive outcomes for children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading assessments and reviews for children in care, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
  • Providing expert guidance and support to social workers, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress of children in care, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and fostering strong relationships with external partners.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in children's social work, particularly within a child in care context.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with a solid understanding of relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
