We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Assistant Practitioner (AP) to join our Children in Care (CIC) Team in Coventry. As a vital member of our social work team, you will play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable children and young people, ensuring their wellbeing and development within a safe and nurturing environment. Your expertise will contribute to improving outcomes for children in care, helping them thrive in their personal and social lives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting social workers in conducting assessments and developing care plans for children in care. Building trusting relationships with children and their families to promote engagement and participation. Providing direct support to children, including emotional and practical assistance, in line with their individual needs. Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to deliver comprehensive support and services.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant qualification in social work, child development, or a related field. Experience working with children and families, particularly in a social care setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities.
