Cheshire West and Chester is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Children in Care (CIC) Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families within our community. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and various stakeholders to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and development of children in care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans in line with statutory requirements.
  • Building trusting relationships with children and families to support their needs and aspirations.
  • Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate effective interventions.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with local policies and procedures.
  • Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working in children's social work, particularly with children in care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
