Join our dedicated Haverhill Social Care Team in Suffolk as a Children’s Social Worker (SSW) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. We are seeking a passionate and qualified individual who is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. In this role, you will engage with children and families, assess their needs, and implement effective interventions to ensure their safety and well-being.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of casework and progress. Providing support and guidance to children and families, fostering resilience and empowerment. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence when necessary.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
