We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LAC Social Worker to join our team in Hull City. As a key member of our Qualified Social Work department, you will play a crucial role in supporting Looked After Children (LAC) and their families to ensure their well-being and safety.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Assessing the needs and risks of Looked After Children and developing care plans
  • Providing direct support and interventions to children and families
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to coordinate services
  • Advocating for the rights and best interests of LAC in various settings
  • Participating in case conferences, court hearings, and reviews as required

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration and experience in working with Looked After Children
  • Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and safeguarding
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice
