We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join the City of Wolverhampton Council's Children with Disabilities Team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families with complex needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Undertaking assessments of children and families to identify their needs and develop appropriate support plans
  • Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and partner agencies to coordinate and deliver services
  • Providing direct intervention and support to children and families, including safeguarding vulnerable children
  • Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and reviews to advocate for the best interests of the children
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and case files in accordance with statutory requirements

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration
  • Demonstrated experience in working with children and families in a social care setting
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and safeguarding
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex caseloads
