We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our team in Southampton, focusing on safeguarding and family support. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families in the community.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the level of risk and need for intervention.
  • Developing and implementing care plans to support families and protect children from harm.
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals, such as healthcare providers and law enforcement, to provide comprehensive support.
  • Participating in case conferences and court proceedings to advocate for the best interests of the children.
  • Providing crisis intervention and support to families in challenging situations.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrated experience in safeguarding and working with children and families in a social work setting.
  • Strong assessment and decision-making skills to evaluate complex situations and determine appropriate interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a demanding caseload while prioritizing tasks effectively.
