Senior Social Worker - MASH Team - Southwark
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team in Southwark. As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for leading assessments, managing complex cases, and collaborating with various agencies to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable individuals.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in need of support.
- Managing a caseload of complex cases, ensuring timely interventions and support.
- Collaborating with partner agencies, including health, education, and law enforcement, to provide a coordinated response to safeguarding concerns.
- Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and students, fostering their professional development.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local and national standards.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognised social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience working within a child protection or safeguarding environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
