Join our dedicated team as a BIA - Adults Services in the East Riding, where you will play a vital role in supporting adults in need of social care. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will be responsible for conducting Best Interest Assessments (BIA) under the Mental Capacity Act, ensuring that individuals receive the care and support they deserve. Your expertise will help to promote independence and well-being among vulnerable adults, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality services.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine the best interests of individuals lacking capacity. Collaborating with families, carers, and other professionals to develop person-centered care plans. Providing expert advice and guidance on mental capacity issues, ensuring compliance with legal frameworks. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments and interventions. Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

To be considered for this position, you must hold a relevant social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Essential skills include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, a thorough understanding of the Mental Capacity Act, and experience in adult social care settings. You should be able to demonstrate your capacity for critical thinking and decision-making, as well as your commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults.
