Join our dedicated team as a Children's Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) in Wirral, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the voices of children in care are heard and their needs are met. As an IRO, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality of care provided to children, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and promoting positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting independent reviews of care plans and ensuring they are child-focused and outcome-driven. Facilitating meetings with children, families, and professionals to gather insights and feedback. Monitoring the implementation of care plans and advocating for children’s rights and best interests. Writing comprehensive reports and presenting findings to relevant stakeholders. Collaborating with social workers and other professionals to enhance service delivery and improve outcomes for children.To succeed in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in a statutory setting. Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
