We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to provide essential support to children and families within our community. In this role, you will work collaboratively with kinship carers to ensure the safety, stability, and well-being of children placed in their care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments of kinship care placements to ensure they meet the needs of the children.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Providing support and guidance to kinship carers, helping them navigate challenges and access resources.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in line with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings to advocate for the best interests of children.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in children’s services, particularly in fostering or kinship care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with families and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
