As a Children's Social Worker in the Fostering Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Assessing and preparing foster carers to ensure they meet the needs of children. Conducting regular visits and reviews to monitor the welfare and progress of children in foster placements. Working collaboratively with children, families, and external agencies to develop and implement care plans. Providing support and guidance to foster carers, helping them navigate challenges and celebrate successes. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with statutory requirements and best practice standards.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children’s social work, particularly in fostering or adoption settings. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex situations.
