Qualified Social Worker (QSW)
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child in Care Team in Harlow, Essex. This pivotal role involves working closely with children and young people in the care system, ensuring their needs are met and advocating for their best interests. You will play a vital role in supporting children to thrive and achieve positive outcomes, working collaboratively with families, other professionals, and agencies.
Your key responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing care plans, and implementing interventions tailored to the individual needs of children in care. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate case records, attending court hearings, and providing support to foster carers. In addition, you will engage with children and young people to ensure their voices are heard and their views are considered in decision-making processes.
To be successful in this role, you must hold a recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Previous experience in a child protection or children in care setting is essential. You should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. A solid understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices is also crucial for this role.
