Qualified Social Worker (QSW)
Wokingham Borough Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Qualified Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team. Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in need, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
- Providing expert guidance and support to junior social workers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Collaborating with various agencies to create and implement effective safeguarding plans.
- Managing a complex caseload while maintaining high standards of practice and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of policies and procedures within the MASH Team.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding, ideally within a MASH or similar environment.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with families and partner agencies.
