Qualified Social Worker (QSW)
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Family Safeguarding Team at Awdry House in Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of families and children. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding vulnerable children and supporting families in need.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting assessments to identify the needs and risks faced by children and families.
- Developing and implementing intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive case records in line with statutory requirements.
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies to promote the welfare of children and families.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrable experience in child protection and safeguarding practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding policies.
