Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work Assessment Team in Somerset, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our community. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and providing ongoing support to children and families in need. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying risks and implementing appropriate interventions to promote positive outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with legal and organizational standards. Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding. Providing advice and support to families, helping them access necessary resources and services.

To be considered for this role, you must possess a relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, or equivalent), be registered with Social Work England, and have a solid understanding of child protection legislation and frameworks. Essential skills include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
