Bracknell Forest Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Child Protection (CP) Locality Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families within our community. As a Social Worker in the CP Locality Team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding vulnerable children and ensuring their well-being, while working collaboratively with families and other agencies.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assessing the needs of children and families, ensuring comprehensive and timely evaluations. Developing and implementing effective care plans that prioritize the safety and welfare of children. Conducting home visits and engaging with families to provide support and intervention. Working alongside multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals, schools, and community organizations. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local and national standards. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony as required.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
