We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kinship Fostering Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Shropshire. This pivotal role focuses on providing support to children and families in kinship care arrangements, ensuring that the best interests of the children are at the forefront of all decisions. You will work collaboratively with families, local authorities, and other stakeholders to promote stability and well-being for children placed in kinship care.

Key responsibilities include conducting assessments of prospective kinship carers, developing and implementing support plans, and providing ongoing supervision and support to families. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing reports for court, and advocating for the needs of children and families within the fostering system. Building strong relationships with families and other professionals will be crucial to your success in this role.

To be considered for this position, you must possess a recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. A minimum of two years’ experience in children's services, particularly in fostering or kinship care, is essential. You should have a solid understanding of relevant legislation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Additional requirements include strong organizational skills, a commitment to continuous professional development, and the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of families. In return, we offer a competitive salary, ongoing training opportunities, and a supportive work environment that values your contributions. Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in Shropshire.
