We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's SP - CIC Team in Walsall. This role is vital in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our care. You will work collaboratively with families, communities, and multidisciplinary teams to provide the best outcomes for children and young people. As a Qualified Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children in care.
  • Working closely with children, families, and external agencies to ensure effective support systems are in place.
  • Managing a caseload effectively, maintaining accurate and timely records of interventions and outcomes.
  • Participating in court proceedings, presenting evidence and reports as required.
  • Providing guidance and support to foster carers and adoptive families.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Social Work degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in looked-after children and care proceedings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
