Join our dedicated team in Middlesbrough as a Fostering Advanced Practitioner, where your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of children and families within our community. In this rewarding position, you will lead the fostering service, providing guidance and support to social workers, foster carers, and children in care. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring that best practices are upheld and that the needs of vulnerable children are met with compassion and professionalism.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing advanced social work practice and supervision to social workers within the fostering team. Conducting assessments of foster families, ensuring their suitability and preparedness to care for children. Leading training and development initiatives for foster carers to enhance their skills and knowledge. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for children in care. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of fostering placements and implementing necessary improvements.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and fostering services. Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
