To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrable experience in children’s social work, particularly in a locality team setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families.
  • Excellent assessment and analytical skills, with a sound understanding of safeguarding practices.
