We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Assessment Team in Stoke on Trent. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and providing support to children and families in need.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting thorough assessments to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with other professionals and agencies. Providing direct support and intervention to children and families to promote their well-being and safety. Participating in multi-agency meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated and effective support. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in accordance with regulatory standards.The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in children's services. Registered with Social Work England and up-to-date with CPD requirements. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make evidence-based decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children and families from diverse backgrounds. Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced and challenging environment, prioritizing workload and managing competing demands.Additional requirements for this position include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
