We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Social Worker to join our team in Newcastle. This role is pivotal in ensuring the well-being and safety of children and young people within our community. As a Children's Social Worker, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and families, developing tailored intervention plans, and providing ongoing support to help them thrive. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's needs and risks.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Providing direct support and guidance to children, young people, and their families.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding strategies.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
