We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join our Adult Social Care team in Middlesbrough. As an AMHP, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting mental health assessments and determining the necessity for interventions under the Mental Health Act.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders regarding mental health legislation and best practices.
- Engaging with service users and their families to ensure they are fully informed and involved in their care processes.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Social Work Degree, DipSW, CQSW).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- AMHP training and accreditation.
- Strong knowledge of mental health legislation and relevant safeguarding policies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
