Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families? The Barnet Children's Social Work Team is seeking a Qualified Social Worker (SSW) to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to provide high-quality support and intervention to children with disabilities and their families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children with disabilities. Working closely with families to provide guidance, support, and practical solutions to challenges they face. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including educators, health professionals, and other social workers, to ensure comprehensive care. Monitoring and reviewing the progress of care plans, making adjustments as necessary to meet changing needs. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local authority policies and procedures.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children with disabilities and an understanding of relevant legislation and frameworks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
