We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Southwark Assessment Team in the South East region. This position offers a competitive rate of £37.50 per hour and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals and families.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Undertaking assessments of children and families to identify risks and develop appropriate intervention plans
  • Providing support and guidance to service users, advocating on their behalf, and ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and external agencies, to coordinate holistic care and support
  • Completing accurate and timely case recording and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Work (QSW) status and registration with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting assessments and developing care plans within a statutory social work setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals and communities
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and safeguarding
