We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Children's TM - Safeguarding Team in Middlesbrough as a Qualified Social Worker. As part of this vital team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in need of protection and support.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the level of risk to children and develop appropriate intervention plans. Working collaboratively with families, professionals, and other agencies to safeguard children from harm. Providing direct support and guidance to children and families in crisis situations. Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings to advocate for the best interests of the child. Documenting all interactions and interventions in a timely and accurate manner.

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and registration with the appropriate regulatory body. Demonstrated experience in working with children and families in a safeguarding or child protection capacity. Strong assessment and analytical skills to identify risks and develop effective intervention strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
