Are you an experienced Qualified Social Worker looking for your next locum opportunity? We are currently recruiting for a Locum Assessment & Intervention Social Worker to join a well-established Children's Services team in Oldham.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment, undertaking meaningful front line work while benefiting from a competitive hourly rate.
🔎 The Role
As an Assessment & Intervention Social Worker, you will:
- Undertake assessments of children and families under statutory frameworks
- Manage a varied caseload including Child Protection and Child in Need
- Complete Section 17 and Section 47 investigations
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard children
- Prepare clear, concise reports for court proceedings where required
✅ Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
- At least 3 years' permanent post-qualified experience as a Qualified Social Worker
- Relevant experience within Assessment & Intervention / Front line Children's Services
- Registration with Social Work England
- Strong knowledge of UK safeguarding legislation and frameworks
