As a Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Hub Manager to lead a team committed to delivering high-quality support services.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the management and development of the Care Leaver Hub, ensuring all services meet the needs of young people.
  • Supervising and mentoring a team of social workers and support staff, promoting best practice and continuous professional development.
  • Building strong relationships with young people, offering tailored support and guidance on education, employment, and life skills.
  • Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to create a network of support for care leavers.
  • Monitoring and evaluating service delivery, ensuring compliance with local and national policies.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with young people, particularly those in or leaving care.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to supporting young people.
