Join our dedicated team in Rotherham as a MASH Social Worker, where you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and supporting vulnerable children and families. In this challenging yet rewarding position, you will work collaboratively within a Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) to assess and respond to referrals regarding child welfare concerns. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that children receive the support they need to thrive in a safe environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting initial assessments and investigations of safeguarding concerns. Collaborating with other agencies to gather information and formulate comprehensive action plans. Providing expert advice and support to families, ensuring that their needs are met. Maintaining accurate and detailed case records in compliance with policies and procedures. Participating in MASH meetings to discuss cases and share insights with colleagues.To excel in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse families.
