Join our dedicated team on the beautiful Isle of Wight as a Senior Social Worker in the Children & Families sector. In this role, you will lead and support a team of social workers, ensuring that we provide high-quality services to those in need while promoting the welfare and safeguarding of vulnerable children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading assessments and interventions for children and families, ensuring best practices are followed. Supervising and mentoring junior social workers, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to deliver effective services and improve outcomes for children and families. Managing a complex caseload, prioritizing tasks and ensuring timely and accurate documentation. Contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance service delivery.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience working in children and families social work, with a strong understanding of safeguarding practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and professionals.
