Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities? Stockport Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our LD & Early Adulthood Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive environment, where you will contribute to the well-being and empowerment of individuals as they navigate their transition into adulthood.

As a Social Worker in our team, you will have a diverse range of responsibilities, including:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals' needs and developing personalized support plans. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery. Providing ongoing support and advocacy for clients and their families. Facilitating access to community resources, services, and opportunities for social inclusion. Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with statutory requirements.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A relevant Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current Social Work registration with Social Work England. Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and knowledge of relevant legislation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders. Proficient in assessing needs and implementing effective interventions.
