Children's Team Manager (All Wales Pledge)
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Children's Team Manager to lead our All Wales Pledge initiative within the Qualified Social Work field. This role is crucial in ensuring that the voices of children and young people are heard and that their rights are upheld across Wales. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence within your team, driving forward our commitment to improving outcomes for children and families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing a team of qualified social workers, ensuring high standards of practice and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Developing and implementing strategic plans that align with the All Wales Pledge, focusing on improving service delivery and outcomes for children.
- Providing supervision and support to team members, promoting professional development and reflective practice.
- Engaging with stakeholders, including children, families, and partner agencies, to promote a shared vision for children's services.
- Monitoring and evaluating team performance, implementing improvements as necessary to enhance service quality.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A relevant social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Care Wales.
- Significant experience in children's social work, with a proven track record in leadership and management.
- Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
