Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager for our Care Leaver Hub in Wokingham. This pivotal role will support our mission to empower care leavers, providing them with the guidance and resources they need to transition successfully into adulthood. As a Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Hub Manager to lead a team committed to delivering high-quality support services.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the management and development of the Care Leaver Hub, ensuring all services meet the needs of young people. Supervising and mentoring a team of social workers and support staff, promoting best practice and continuous professional development. Building strong relationships with young people, offering tailored support and guidance on education, employment, and life skills. Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to create a network of support for care leavers. Monitoring and evaluating service delivery, ensuring compliance with local and national policies.To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working with young people, particularly those in or leaving care. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
