Join our dedicated team in Nottingham as a Children's Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) and make a significant impact in the lives of children and young people. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that children in care receive the highest standards of support and advocacy. You will lead and facilitate independent reviews, ensuring that the voice of the child is at the heart of all decisions made on their behalf.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting regular reviews of care plans for children and young people in care.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards.
- Collaborating with social workers, foster carers, and other professionals to promote positive outcomes.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to children, families, and professionals.
- Maintaining accurate records and reports regarding children's progress and well-being.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Extensive experience working with children and families in a social work setting.
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding policies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
