As a member of our Kinship Assessment Team, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of kinship carers and their suitability to provide care for children.
- Collaborating with families, children, and external agencies to gather information and develop effective support plans.
- Providing ongoing support and guidance to kinship families throughout the assessment process.
- Documenting assessments and maintaining accurate records to comply with regulatory standards.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of best practices within the team.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrated experience in child protection, family support, or kinship care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and professionals.
- Excellent assessment and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
