Join our dedicated Children's Social Work team in Gloucestershire, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families in need. As a Qualified Social Worker in the Children and Families (C&F) Team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and families, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes for those you serve.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored intervention strategies. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements. Engaging with children, families, and professionals to build trusting relationships and facilitate effective support. Attending and participating in meetings, court hearings, and multi-agency discussions. Providing guidance and support to foster carers and adoptive parents.To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. In addition, we seek candidates who possess:
Proven experience in children's social work, preferably within a statutory setting. Strong assessment and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
