About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake initial and core assessments in line with the Assessment Framework
- Develop effective care plans and tailored support packages
- Carry out statutory duties for children looked after
- Manage cases involving children on Care and Support Protection Plans
- Support children on Care and Support Plans
- Participate in and manage care proceedings
- Accurately input and maintain records on CareFirst
- Work in line with Wales Safeguarding Procedures and Child Care Procedures
- Undertake any additional tasks as required within the service
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Care Wales registration
- Experience in children's safeguarding and statutory work
- Strong assessment, planning and court work experience
- Ability to manage complex caseloads effectively
- Knowledge of Welsh safeguarding frameworks (desirable)
