The NSPCC is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children’s Social Worker (SM) to join our Cardiff team. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with children and families to safeguard and promote their welfare, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are met. You will be part of a supportive environment that values your expertise and commitment to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored support plans in partnership with families. Working closely with other professionals and agencies to coordinate services and interventions. Maintaining accurate and timely records of casework and interventions. Participating in supervision and professional development activities to enhance practice.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Care Wales or eligibility for registration. Demonstrable experience working with children and families in a social work setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
