Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Leicestershire as a Children's Social Worker, where you will play a crucial role in promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and families in our community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and families, developing and implementing effective intervention plans, and working collaboratively with various agencies to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and their families to identify risks and protective factors.
  • Developing and reviewing child protection and care plans in partnership with families and other professionals.
  • Providing direct support and guidance to families, helping them to navigate challenges and improve their circumstances.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records of casework and interventions in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions to ensure a coordinated approach.

To be considered for this role, you must possess a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding legislation, and the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills are essential, as is a commitment to promoting the best interests of children.
