Caritas Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Children's Social Worker to join a Family Safeguarding Team based in Bridlington.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and families through effective safeguarding intervention and relationship-based practice.
The Role
As part of the Family Safeguarding Team, you will:
- Complete Child in Need, Child Protection and Looked After Children work
- Undertake assessments, care planning and statutory visits
- Manage a diverse caseload of children and families requiring safeguarding intervention
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to reduce risk and improve outcomes
- Prepare high-quality reports for court, reviews and other statutory meetings
- Develop effective relationships with children, young people and families to support sustainable change
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)
- Registration with Social Work England
- A minimum of 3 years' permanent post-qualified experience within Children's Services
- Experience within Family Safeguarding, Child Protection, CIN or Assessment teams
- Strong assessment, report writing and court work skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
