We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in Herefordshire. As a Qualified Social Worker in the CWD Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and develop appropriate support plans.
  • Working closely with children, parents, and external agencies to ensure effective service delivery and coordination.
  • Providing direct support and guidance to families, helping them navigate challenges and access resources.
  • Monitoring and reviewing cases to ensure that interventions are effective and that children’s needs are being met.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements and agency policies.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England (SWE).
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly those with disabilities.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with vulnerable populations.
