Join our dedicated team at CAFCASS in Stevenage, where we are seeking a passionate and qualified Social Worker to support children and families in both private and public law contexts. This role offers the flexibility of reduced office attendance, allowing you to focus on your casework while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. You will play a vital role in safeguarding children and ensuring their voices are heard in legal proceedings.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments and preparing reports for court, ensuring the best interests of children are prioritized. Working collaboratively with families, legal professionals, and other agencies to develop effective support plans. Providing expert advice and guidance in private and public law matters, advocating for children's rights and welfare. Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely and thorough responses to all cases. Engaging in reflective practice and professional development to enhance service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and family law, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make sound judgments based on evidence.
