We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Advance Social Worker to join our Long Term Child Protection team in South Gloucestershire. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families within our community. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of children who are at risk of harm.
As an Advance Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Providing ongoing support and intervention to families, ensuring adherence to child protection policies and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, reports, and documentation.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategy discussions to safeguard children.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
