Working within statutory frameworks and local authority procedures, you will:

  • Assess the needs and risks for children and young people requiring social work intervention
  • Develop, deliver and review multi-agency plans to safeguard and promote wellbeing
  • Manage a busy but structured caseload within a team setting
  • Lead on Child Protection and Court work, ensuring effective care planning
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Contribute to service development and share best practice
  • Support less experienced colleagues where appropriate
