Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to support post-order placements.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families, foster carers, and other professionals.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to adoptive families to ensure the well-being of children.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local and national standards.
  • Participating in regular team meetings and contributing to the development of best practices.

To thrive in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in children's social work, particularly in post-order or adoption services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
